Jillian Michaels: Kickbox FastFix
On March 6th, Jillian has a new KICKBOXING DVD coming out! I’m pretty excited. I’ve tried and loved her previous DVD’s (30 Day Shred, Ripped in 30, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, etc). What I love most about them is that they don’t take too long; each session is meant to be completed within 20-40 minutes. This new kickboxing routine features 3 workouts that are 20 minutes each, focusing on either the upper body, lower body, or abs (core). Do them all for an hour-long, full body workout!
I’m definitely going to be getting this one! If you’d like more information or to preorder now, check out the link at the bottom of my blog! :)
30 Day Shred - Day 30: COMPLETE!
Ladies and gentlemen, I have completed the 30 day shred!!!
Yeeeeeooooww I feel so accomplished, haha. I now know that I can start a challenge of at least 30 days and stick to it. I usually give up halfway through because of boredom and stalemate, but MAN finishing something feels good! I was so excited to be done that during the workout, I gave it my all. Everything I have learned from the last 29 days of the program and all that I’ve gained (in strength and endurance, that is) shone through in this one last workout! Now I’m super pumped up. Too bad I have to hit the shower and get to a 2-hour lecture this morning. So I’ll run a little later tonight!
I always get followers asking me about the 30 Day Shred and whether it’s worth it or not. Yes, it’s completely worth it. You won’t drop like 50lbs or anything, but you’ll feel as incredible as I do right now if you set your mind to it and see it through. I’ve lost a few inches around my hips and waist, and my arms are more defined. I also keep getting asks about how my body has changed and how much weight I’ve lost. I didn’t measure or weigh myself when I started, but I def see some great changes. My clothes fit better and I feel better, and that’s what matters!
If I can do it, so can you.
30 Day Shred - Day 29
Today’s shred down, only one more day left! I’m so excited to be done the 30 Day Shred and to start P90X! I’m currently downloading the meal plan to see what modifications to make to my current diet and I’m also downloading a copy of the schedule for doubles so I can print it out and have it ready for Feb 1st! :) :)
I really wasn’t feeling the sumo squats today so I subbed in squat presses instead, my absolute faveeee! I also jogged on the treadmill for about 10 minutes. Didn’t have much time before I had to go shower and get ready to meet my sociology group for our presentation next week. But hey, 10 mins is better than 0 mins! I held 5 lb dumbbells in each hand as i ran, too, for a little somethin’ somethin’. It’s nice to switch things up with little additions. I’ll be feeling it in my arms tomorrow!
30 Day Shred - Day 28
ONLY TWO MORE DAYS LEFT!
I’m very sleepy right now so I don’t have much to say. The workout was good. I didn’t really want to do it, but I did. I’m glad I did. I didn’t have much energy before but I had loads right after! So I complemented that workout with a 30-minute jog on my beauty of a treadmill. Now I just want to sleeeeeeeep!
30 Day Shred - Day 27
I am sooo sore right now, I did the shred about 4 hours ago. I also had to shovel the snow like right after I finished that so I’m sure that hugely contributed to my soreness and tiredness. I wish I had a one-car driveway instead of this huge thing. Ah. Anyways. I haven’t much to say today! I’ve just been so busy with my classes and homework, as I’m sure those of you who are in college are, too. It’s crazy trying to keep up with classes, homework, studying and workouts, but I’m doing pretty well! Ohhh yeah. I tried out my new treadmill last night. I LOVE IT. Such a step up from my last one, haha. It’s pretty awesome.
Like an old lady, I’m gonna nap for an hour or so then get ready and go out tonight. I total deserve a night out! Hope your Saturday is going well!
30 Day Shred - Day 25 and 26
I didn’t have the chance to do the shred yesterday! So instead, I yesterday’s and today’s just now, back to back, with a 15 minute water break in-between them. That was intense doing level 3 twice in a row! But I’m glad I did it because it made for a really good workout. Can’t believe I’m just four workouts away from being done the 30 day shred! It doesn’t seem like I started 26 days ago… feels like an entire year ago!
My newwww treadmill is in today! So either tonight or tomorrow when I have the time, I’m going to test it out and have a nice little HIIT session :)
30 Day Shred - Day 24
Level 3 seems to agree with me now! I quite like it. It’s a good workout on it’s own I think, apart from the 30 Day Shred. If I ever want to switch things up from the usually running on the treadmill, I can always pop this DVD in and hit level 3. It gets kind of boring doing the same thing over and over, but then again, routine makes it more comfortable. I think you should always switch up your workout routine every 4 weeks or so. For me, it would have to be 3 weeks since I get bored so fast, haha. Anywaaays, it’s time for homework and reading. Lots of readings. Ahhh school.
30 Day Shred - Day 23
I forgot about working out today because I was super busy but I did it anyways! I was super bored and tired during the process that I skipped some stuff in level three and didn’t really care. Tomorrow I’ll be better :) I’m so drained todaaaay, school is ruining my liiiife. It doesn’t help that I can never fall asleep until like 2 or 3 am and have to wake up at 7 or 8. I need some melatonin maybe.
Wow. Please don’t bother reading this post full of complaints you guys, haha. I’ve got no time for tumblr today but I have a some posts queued if you’re wondering why it looks like I’ve been on a lot.
30 Day Shred - Day 22
I forgot to post this earlier. Ooopssss!
Anyways, day 22 went well. I was debating whether or not I should workout today, but I did it anyways. It’s only 20 minutes. I didn’t compliment that workout with any extra running or lifting, but that’s okay. I’ve been studying allllll day long and now my brain is fried. Today was my second attempt at level 3, and I’d say it went pretty well. Sumo squats and plank walks are kind of awesome. I’ve noticed a couple variations of plank walks, one where you actually move your body from your starting position and “walk,” and another where you go from hands to elbows and back up again. I kind of love both of those and I’m in need of discovering some more variations :)
I need to get back to studying and doing notes but I’m hungry. I have no food in the house, at least not anything appetizing right now. Maybe scrolling through my dash will give me some inspiration :)
30 Day Shred - Day 21
Today was the start of level 3. The dreaded level 3.
It wasn’t actually that bad! It was kind of hard, but that’s expected of the first day when you start something you’ve never done before. I really like that things are changed up and are more interesting in this level, as well as slightly more challenging. I had to modify some of the moves, and probably will do so tomorrow, as well. On day 23, I’ll probably recognize the routine and be able to complete it normally without having to take breaks, look up, and be like “whaaaat’s going on now?” Haha. So yeah. Not so bad.
Sumo squats are kind of awesome! You know I love squats and now most, if not all, variations of squats. :)
